Customization Details

Thank you for considering Blend Furniture Studio for your custom project!

Full service custom paint starts at $1,099 for dressers, $399 per nightstand/side table, -or $1,299 for credenzas/cabinets with interiors finished. This pricing includes:

  •  Thorough cleaning and prep work to ensure lasting finish
  •  Minor repairs such as broken tracks and damaged corners
  •  Filling and sanding most dings and scratches for a smooth finish
  •   At least 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of cabinet grade enamel paint, one to two coats of durable clear enamel. We carefully sand in  between each coat for a luxurious and professional finish.
  •  Polish or paint on original hardware
  •  Clean and condition of drawer interiors
  •   If drawers are sticking, rubbing, or otherwise not working to the best of their potential, we will ensure they function smoothly. We    will inform you if there is anything beyond our ability to repair.
  •  Backsides are only finished if they were originally factory finished, or if you specify you’d like all sides completed.

 HERES HOW IT WORKS!

  1.   First, set up your custom consultation, either in person (at our studio) or virtual. It is very helpful if you come into our consultation with an idea of your design direction. Please note that we can give suggestions for your room, but an interior designer or decorator may be a helpful resource if you aren’t sure where to start! We do not provide interior design or decorating services as part of our custom services.
  2.   Please view our full portfolio on Instagram, and even work of other artists prior to your consultation. This will give us a starting point and an idea of your taste. Sending me photos of inspiration before our consult, or saving them to bring to our consult, is very helpful!
  3.   Select a color from our signature palette (25 colors available), or choose any Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore color for an additional $75.
  4. We will determine if there are any areas of your piece that will be stripped, stained, and/or embellished.
  5. We will discuss whether your piece is eligible for a custom built base or legs, if desired.
  6.   You may choose from wood stain samples in the shop, or send photos of similar shades you’d like to achieve (if we are consulting virtually).
  7.   Finally, we will supply you with a selection of hardware choices based on the design of your piece and your home’s aesthetic.
  8.   Once the design is chosen, we will determine the best timeline for your schedule and ours!
  9.   Your deposit is required to reserve an open date or a piece from our inventory. Please note that available dates and unfinished inventory can evolve daily, and reservations are only made with a deposit.
  10.   We partner with a professional moving company to handle transporting your pieces to and from our shop. Moving rates start at $120 per hour, and would be paid directly to the moving company. You are also welcome to self-transport.
  11.   We will keep you posted on progress, and will contact you regarding any new ideas or needs to change direction throughout the process. Once your piece is complete, you’ll receive photos and videos of the final product!
  12.   Balances are due within 3 days of completion, and pieces must be picked up within 7 days of completion. Please ensure that you book during a time that you will be in town and available to receive your special piece! If you’re customizing a piece from my inventory, but have travel or renovations coming up, please let me know beforehand. It is much easier for us to safely store unfinished pieces than finished pieces, so it’s best to plan accordingly.
  13.   Items can be professionally delivered, or we will shrink wrap your item(s) and help you load if you choose to pick up personally.

 

Additional options and details are priced out separately, and will be figured into your initial estimate. Below are some of our most common and popular options:

⦁ Natural wood on eligible areas: Starting at $30 per drawer, or $100 per top.

⦁ New Hardware: we typically shop for quality hardware at the best possible price, and will provide you with a few options. Most sets will average $50 to $100 per furniture piece. *You are welcome to shop your own hardware, as long as the size selection is made during the initial consultation, and the hardware is delivered to our shop prior to paint completion.*

⦁ Removal of original skirt or legs, and custom base built: Starting at $200

⦁ Removal of original skirt or legs, and custom legs added: Starting at $150

⦁ Removal of original trim work and subsequent repairs: Starting at $30 per area

⦁ Addition of trim work around new embellishments: Starting at $20 per area

⦁ Textured paintable wallpaper: Starting at $30 per area

⦁ Fluted drawers or doors : Starting at $60 each, depending on sizing

⦁ Laser cut panels: Starting at $50 each, depending on sizing

⦁ Caning: Limited availability, priced per project if applicable

⦁ Mother of pearl tile: starting at $30 per area

⦁ Gold tile: starting at $30 per area

***We are not accepting or offering/purchasing dining room tables, similarly sized desks, beds, or china cabinets due to shop space limitations***
